Togetherness

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room.

Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the same easy way you always have. Laugh as we always laughed at the little joke we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me, life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it always was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind becasue I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well. Nothing is past. Nothing has been lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better. Infinitely happier. We will be one, together, forever.

7-26-09

If you had once chance to do your life over again...would you?
If you could start fresh as someone else, someplace else, would you?

Tell me one thing that you would change if you could in your past, present and future.
Tell me something that no one else knows.
I promisee i'll keep it a secret.

Promise me that you won't lie.
Promise me that you won't tell.
Promise me that you won't leave...

I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours. It is really that bad that you can't say?
I know mine is.

What am I soupposed to do?
Believe that all that matters is me and you?

No one truly knows what your going through...only you.
No words can help.
No actions will make it alright.

Sourround yourself with the kindness of strangers.
How can you ask them for help when you don't even know whats wrong?

You always want whats on the other side...where the grass is greener.
But did you stop to notice that once you got there the grass is brown, dead and gone?

Please tell me your regret.
Everyone has one...
Do you regret meeting me?
Do you regret being my friend?
Do you regret lving?

I promise I won't tell...

Vacation 2009

Well as y'all know by now, Eric and I went on vacation from July 3rd to the 9th. It was really nice!

I guess I'll start from the beginning...

We wanted to leave between 8-9am Friday. But we ended up leaving around 10-10:30am. Not going into too much detail, we were just running late...then I found bunnies. Although we do not have one, I wanted them...Eric talked me out of if and I placed them into a better location. Then we headed out...

We got to Ohio and for some reason, the speed limit is 55mph there, who in the H*** thought of that?! Well in any case, Eric was driving. Since I couldn't stand it any longer, I indulged myself into my book. Cops...cops every where! I don't think that Michigan had ever even employed the amount of cops we seen in Ohio, EVER!! We were on I-75 and I happen to glance up...by this time we were in Cincinnati, by the bridge. I looked and there was paint all over the ground! I told Eric that someone must of had fun! Yup, that was about it for Ohio...except for the miles and miles of flat land you can see once out of the major cities.

Onto Kentucky! This stretch didn't get much more exciting, I was more nervous than anything. We were heading straight for my cousins in Smyrna, (Near Nashville). I have never drove straight there before. Even though we had "directions" from my dad and better yet, his tomtom, I still panic when I don't know where I'm going. Which is exactly what happened. Yes, I was arguing with the tomtom! About the only excitement that happened in Kentucky was the guy was saw pulled over on the side of the road. He was getting stripped searched, along with his car.
I mean this middle aged man standing on the side of the road in his tightie whites, nothing else and all of his car components next to him. I mean they even tore out the floor boards! This car looked worse that anything I have ever seen at customs!! I felt so bad for the guy, but couldn't help but to laugh. I mean that's what you get if you can't hide things the way your supposed to.

We finally reached Tennessee with just enough time to get more "directions" to the lake to be able to watch the Nashville Shores fireworks on the boat over the lake. That was a nice relaxing end to a long drive. Eric and I got to spend some time on a boat with a bunch of friends and family. Okay, it was two boats...Chris had one, a little row boat with all of the kids, while the rest of us was on the pontoon boat.

After the fireworks and the fighting, arguing and getting lost going up and down one the one major street they have, we spent the night at my Cousin's Louise's house.
Louise just bought her home a few months ago. I loved her house! It's so cute! Her backyard is awesome and he kitty - bubbles is adorable!

Saturday July 4th: Eric and I got up just in time for a morning boat ride. Louise and Claudia had invited us to join them along with Rodger and another couple whom I don't remember their names, but they were really nice.

We went all over the lake, even to party cove...that was interesting. Then it was lunch time and time for Eric and I to head to Melody's. Melody and her daughter Lille was in the wedding. Well Lillie's birthday was on July 1st so Melody decided to have Lillie's party on the 4th, along with the twins, whose birthday was on the 5th. (The twins belong to one of Chris' friends, and for those who don't know Chris is Melody's husband. I'll try not to mention too many names...I have a lot of friends and family in this part of the trip.)

Like I was saying, at lunch time Eric and I left the boat to help Melody set up for the party. Once we got there the party was WAY under way already. We joined in on the fun. I introduced Eric to Melody's brother, my other cousin Matthew, their dad and my Aunt. Then we just had some fun.

(I will be posting pictures soon of this event!!)

In Tennessee, all fireworks are legal, nothing off limits, so as you all might of guessed, Eric went wild! He was hanging with the boys all day long. Then it was time for presents and cakes. The twins got a cute puppy cake and Lillie got her white cake. The all ended up with way more stuff than they'll ever play with, and of course Eric and I got them their own play-doh, 120-something pack of crayons, coloring books and sidewalk chalk...I heard someone mumble paybacks are hell...it's okay, I'm ready, bring it on! (no we are still not pregnant, so don't get too many ideas.)When night finally came, the guys started a fire and started to set up the good 'ole famous Pearce style 4th of July fireworks show. Now as soon as I can get the pictures up, you'll see just how many fireworks these guys had. According to Melody, the Fourth of July is Chris' version of Christmas. He spent well over $1,200.00 in fireworks - after all of the buy ones gets one, discounts and all that good stuff. I think he ended up with two of everything...including cases of bottle rockets for the kids. Yes, I said cases, not packages. I kind of felt dumb, standing there holding my snaps and sparklers, but hey as long as everyone was having fun, that's all that matters.

Needless to say we had the best fireworks show that I have ever seen! It lasted for about two hours, nonstop. We had our doubts because it had started to rain and there were warnings all round us, but none of that matter to Chris. As long as he had help and his laptop with the radar going, he was fine.

That night we stayed at a hotel. Once we got to our room there was a party going on next door and not to be rude to anyone, but after a non stop two days, all we wanted to do was sleep. We had to go ask to be moved to a different room. That one was okay, but it was a smoking room...mmmmmmmm, the yummy smell of stale hotel cigarette smoke!! NOT!! But I didn't care anymore, just needed sleep. When we woke up and packed what little we got out up we had breakfast on the hotel at the restaurant...my first encounter with a waffle maker thingy. That was an exciting experience! Seeing how the hotel and restaurant was ran by people...south of the border...everything was in Spanish. I made a huge mess and then I needed water, which I had to say for...to a boy who had no idea what I was trying to ask. Yes, I took Spanish...but failed all four semesters...all in all I didn't break anything and we were up so early that I don't think anyone minded.

Once we got done eating breakfast we were on our way to my grandmas house on the other side of the state in Jacksboro. She's in the Jelico mountains on the Norris lake. (cause that helped anyone...)

It was a nice drive over, the tomtom lost the signal for most of the way and I got to show Eric the time change sign...no picture though, according to Eric "it's too dangerous to pull off onto the side of the road on a highway..." blah, blah, blah, come on guy, wheres your sense of adventure?!Anyways, we made it to my grandma's and grandpa Charlie's where my parents were already. (They left on the 1st to go down.)

Remember I told you that I would expand on the paint situation that we saw in Ohio...well here it goes...

When we got there and settled for dinner, my parents asked us if we ran into any problems. We both said no. Then they asked if we had any delays in Ohio, we said no. Then they told us that they did. They were held up for nearly two hours before they could find an alternate route off and then back onto I-75 because some truck had lost all of his paint. Apparently he had gotten into an accident and his truck flip, leaving all of his white paint all over the highway. So in the end, I was right, someone did have fun with the paint. For the next couple of days we hung out, went fishing, took some boat rides and watched TV. It was cold and rainy most of the time, too cold for swimming and too rainy to do anything else. My parents left on the 7th to come back home. That day my grandma and grandpa Charlie took us to The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. We took the long was there though. We stopped to see the dam, a couple of dams actually, then they took us to a water wheel thing and stuff, not too sure what it was, but it was neat. While we were at the water wheel house we notice some commotion going on two cars over. We got out and started to walk over when we realized this couple was having an issue with a bird. The mother caught it finally and we started to talk to the dad. Apparently their daughter makes them travel with all of her pets...except for the fish. The mom and dad explained, in detail to us about this adventure they were having. They had a couple of birds, some cats, a dog and I'm not sure what else, I was focusing on their daughter who was trying to catch a mouse...for of course her cats to play with...we had to walk away.

It was interesting. I have pictures that I will put up soon of this as well. Then we went to the Chinese buffet for an early dinner. The rest of the day Eric and I went to the lake. On the 8th Eric and I pretty much stayed at the lake the entire day. We went swimming, he rode the jet ski and we both got sun burnt. (Shhhhhh, don't tell my doctors I was out in the sun!) My grandpa Charlie took us on a boat ride to the dam then to the marina to have lunch.

I just have to add that my grandma did make me cashew chicken before my parents left, along with fudge brownies and ice cream for dessert. SO GOOD!!!

We ended up having to come home on Thursday the 9th. On the ride home, we had breakfast at Shoney's, we stopped at an Amish food store and just enjoyed the sights. We saw a huge porn store, with a 11 foot white wooden cross in front of it...which was all sorts of disturbing...it was also a truck stop, go kart and video game place...We saw a GIANT, and I mean a GIANT Jesus emerging from a little home made pond. Eric and I are best at people watching, which is what we do all of the time, but on trips, it's much more interesting. We found some unusual people, cars and stuff. Unfortunately nothing to talk about. Except for this one car. There was this little car, maybe an escort or contour driving in the next lane over with two guys in it, maybe my age. I happen to glance and notice something hanging from his rear view mirror. As I looked a second time, I realized it was a small set of deer antlers. He sped up a bit and got in front of us and that's when I noticed he and his friend had two more sets of small antlers in the back window. The plate said Michigan. Eric and I cracked up laughing. I had to take a picture (Which, will be up shortly, just all of the others). The next thing I know they are putting on cowboy hats. Now this in itself was a trip to watch. The one guy in the passenger seat was turned backwards in his seat going through something in the back and the next thing we realized was that they were throwing stuff out the windows! We are still not sure of what is all was, but it was all red...I tried to take a picture of the antlers hanging from the mirror, but as we passed them, they got off at the exit. I was sad.

The rest of the ride home was uneventful. Well that's it. That was Eric's and I's vacation in a nutshell.Next year we are going camping in the mammoth caves in Kentucky if anyone would like to join let us know...the more the merrier!!

6*5*09

Yes, I know, it's been quite some time since I've done this, but I have a lot going on.So lets just get right into it.

I believe I left off on Valentines day...which was nice.

I have had my mothers birthday, which I believe Eric, my father and I took her out to eat. I, of course forgot her present at home...for like a week...sorry mom!! But it's all good, I hope she like it anyways. I know it wasn't much, but hey, I'm poor!

Rachel had her baby shower!! It was so nice to see her, her mother, Kyle and Jennie!! I really do need to spend more time with them! I hope she liked her shower and everything that my mother and I got her...which, by the way was not on her list...not one thing! Okay, maybe one or two, but most of it came from knowing what she DIDN'T have on her lists and what she will need.

Then came Mother's day, I painted my mother a flower pot, like I do every year. This year it was a bigger pot and I even thought about planting flowers in it. That never did happened, in fact I believe it is still right where she left it, on the living room floor under the T.V....wonder if I should tell her I used oil paints this year an didn't main stain her nice new carpeting...oh, well shes gone this far with it there, if anything, the damage is done.

By now, it's my birthday. I am now 26 years old!!! Oh, my goodness!!

Everyone said I would feel old at 25, but nope, it's 26. I guess it's because my little Joshua is graduating from high school and my nephew is getting so big! For those of you who don't know, I used to babysit Josh...all through junior high and high school, even his little sister. I made enough money in one night from that job to pay for my 1st car. Ahhh...the memories!! Zach, my nephew is getting so big!! He's 10!! I remember the day he was born! The day he was brought home and everything up to today! Those two boys will always have a place in my heart, a place to crash, a ear to listen and shoulder if needed. Anyways you all get the point!Where was I??

Oh, yea my birthday...well I tried to have a party and thank you all for coming...well those of you who did. It was nice. I had one group of friends come over earlier then a second round came later, it was very interesting. Eric got us bikes...yes!! I can't wait till I have time to actually ride mine though!! Plus he made me the biggest birthday card ever!! (I will be posting pictures this weekend, hopefully) And, of course, he got me a balloon!! I LOVE balloons!! He even surprised me with a trip to the Toledo Zoo!! It was a nice day, but i think still just a bit too chilly. We will be going back at least one more time this summer...anyone care to join? I think we are going to make a weekend out of it. The zoo one day, a hotel night stay then doing something else the other day??

Now back to reality. I have been working like crazy!! Going in at 7 (or earlier) and not leaving until 6 or 7 or later on most days. Long story short, my boss is sick. I am covering, him me and partly another persons job. There is only three of us in the print shop, so I basically do everything! We are busy!! The sign shop...not so much...so I also have the lovely duties of being their receptionist and "motherly" figure. I, for one, do not know how those people operated without guidance!! Then again...they are all males!! (hahahaha!!!)

I think that pretty much sums up my life. Eric and I are thinking about buying a house soon...not too sure how well that's going to happen, but if we find something we do, if we don't we don't.

All of the animals are doing well. We are getting a new tank for Yoshi tomorrow, which is awesome cause then we shouldn't have to worry about finding him anything bigger until we get a house and can leave him out for a period of time. He's like a puppy, he's SO cute!! All of the cats are into him and loves it when Eric takes him out so they can play!! The tank is about 300 gallons and it comes with the iron stand. My cousin wants to get rid of it so she said we can have it for nothing as long as we can move it. Any volunteers to help??? The only thing is Eric and my dad needs to make a top for it...they broke it a while ago. Shouldn't be too much trouble, just some 2x4's and wire meshing...how hard could that be?

Eric and I are going on vacation in July. We are going back to Tennessee to visit my Grandmother over the holiday weekend. We were going to stay in Gatlinberg again, but we are poor. Besides, who doesn't like grandmas food? Plus she has waterfront access...okay, her backyard is a lake, so I think we'll be fine. We may take a overnight trip to somewhere, but who knows. Well it's about 8:30 now...bout time to start cooking dinner so it will be ready when Eric gets home. I will try to keep this thing updated a little more than I have been. I know, I'm a slacker!

With that, I'm outta here!!!

2*27*09

Okay so just in case any of you was wondering what happened to me today...lets start with me being late for work. Not as this is not really unusual, I at least have to be on time on Thursdays and Fridays...I am to 1st one in and I have to open up the place. Well it really wasn't a big deal, it never is, I just blamed it on the cops sitting in our parking lot.Next I decided I would make my breakfast. Since I decided not to stop to get milk for my cereal, and grabbed a bagel instead I figured I was fine. But then I decided I wanted it toasted. Now I never really ever had a toasted bagel, but for some reason it sounded good. I go into the break room and seeing how we have a broken microwave and no toaster, I decided to use the toaster oven. I have never used a toaster oven. I have one, but its still in the box. (No place to put it right now). So I think I have it working...my boss comes in and I ask him if I did it right. He says I did...well he's my boss, and since I really didn't believe him I decided I would see for my self. We have no towels handy, so I grab a napkin. Apparently napkins catch on fire when they touch the heater coil.bar thingy. So I wave it around to get the flames to stop and I smell something. Yup, you guessed it. My hair had caught fire. Now it wasn't really that bad, I was able to detain the fire without any noticeable damage, but still. It was only 9:30 and I almost had to call 911. Thank goodness no one saw.SO I got my toasted bagel and proceeded to find some butter. Now we have butter, the kind from the coney at the corner, in those little plastic thingys...those don't melt. (on another note, don't put those on a sandwich maker to try...the plastic melts...but that's another story.) So I found some, WAY in the back of the refrigerator. I slathered some on and began to eat it. When I was done eating a co worker came up to me and asked where I got the butter, I told him. Then I noticed that the butter expired over a YEAR ago!!! It wasn't watery or moldy though and it tasted like butter...well as much as no salt, no fat, no cholesterol butter can taste. So I then decided to go and do some bindery, I figured I cant do anything wrong there, heck I could do most of it in my sleep. Well once again wrong. Someone before me didn't clean the glue compound jar, so me and my OCD decided to clean it, forgetting that the pump on the sink was "broken" (We had a city inspection and seeing how they use that sink for....ummm....not its purpose...we declared the sink broken and turned off the pump.) and here I am putting glue and water down it. Needless to say, I got it clogged with glue. The rest of the day went okay until it was time to close. So I left early one day. But I told my boss to close the visa machine out for me at the end of the night if no one else came in. Well, you would think that he knew what he was doing. He is the boss after all...well I was wrong once again. When he went to close it out the other night it didn't really close out, so when I closed it out today I was WAY off and now my books are too. I finally was able to clean up that mess when I had to put in the checks. (We have this machine that you can deposit your checks there instead of having to go to the bank, its kinda cool...when it works). Only tonight the checks for either company was not going through. I sat there and spent an hour cleaning that damn machine. Once it was clean I tried again. They went through, only to find out that the system went down and they would not transmit. TWO frikin hours later after many calls to Comerica and who knows where else, I was able to get them to process. SO lets recap, I got to work at 7:30a, by 9:30 I almost killed myself while burning down the place, by 11 I had clogged the sink with glue and by 8:00- that's 8:00 PM I am sitting here writing this. I am going to order dinner in tonight and watch a movie. Hop y'all had a better day than me!!I swear you can have your own Colleen channel on you-tube with the stuff that goes on at my work! And half of the time, I am the voice of reason!

What I really should of said...

So Mary and I had our first fight...ever...we have been best friends for 12 years now and it just came to an end last Friday. So I don't like how her boyfriend treats her, his mom, his friends, or anyone else. That does not mean that I don't like him. I just don't like some of the things he says or does. Wait, let me rephrase that...I don't HOW he says things, in most cases. He comes off like an ass to EVERYONE!! Mary says that she is the same way, but shes not. I know her and I know how she is. I also have lost two other 'friends', i guess they were my friends, but I guess I was wrong. So I have no friends, no life, well except for work, and no real plans for my future. So...I know people think I feel sorry for myself, but what I really feel sorry about is the fact that my best friend, my maid of honor, my sister believed everyone else over me. Do you think that really makes me happy? I didn't think so.We went out last night, we already had these plans, I already had the tickets, so we decided to put everything behind us and have a good time. I couldn't even look at her all night. I was so mad at her and yet I was just happy that I didn't lose her completely. Some say that one day something will happen, that charlie will do something and I'll be the 1st person she calls. I bet they are wrong. She hasn't talked to me in like 3 years...I mean really talk to me. I haven't talked to her because if she does answer the phone, shes too busy.So she has a wonderful life, well maybe not that wonderful, but she gets by, a lot better than most. She gets what she wants, when she wants it. So does her daughter and Charlie. They barley have any bills or rarely needs anything. She has it pretty good if you ask me.I on the other hand. I have been to WAY too many doctors to count, my body looks like I was a shooting target for a pellet gun, I have fought and won cancer...two types is anyone cares, I paid my way though school, I have more bills than anyone should, especially at my age, i can't seem to get pregnant, probably because I don't want to have sex, I want to go back to school, yet can't, i make hardly anything at the job I'm at,but i do everything there. So I have my own apartment, a wonderful husband, and my own petting zoo. Do you think I would be happy? Sure, but I'm not. I wish Eric would be more romantic, I wish he would give me flowers, just because, i wish he would do more things that i like to do. I wish he would quit drinking and smoking. I wish I didn't live here. I want to move. I want to move out of state. I need to move out of state.
